about MKERB
what is MKERB?
We are a group of Ruby and Ruby on Rails enthusiasts in the greater Milwaukee area. We promote the use of Ruby and try and share information about the power of the programming language. We meet on a monthly basis to share information with other people interested in Ruby.

what is ruby?
Ruby is a dynamic, powerful, general purpose programming language. It is a single inheritance, object-oriented scripting language with strong support for regular expressions. It supports many advanced language constructs such as mixins and closures. Ruby is a very dynamic language with strong meta-programming features. See the official Ruby description for more.
what is ruby on rails?
Ruby on Rails is probably the killer app of the Ruby language. It is a highly productive framework that allows developers to build web applications. It favors convention over configuration and leverages the highly dynamic nature of Ruby in its implementation.
when and where are meetings?
Meeting are normally held on the second Wednesday of each month.
